Safety Mirror
Better Security With Safety MirrorsSafety mirrors have become more common as the years go by. In the late 1960's and early 1970's, people were lucky they even had the luxury of one mirror-the rear view-in the vehicle. In the 1980's, car and truck manufacturers started manufacturing them with a driver side view mirror. These mirrors helped greatly in reducing the number of "fender benders' people had and the total number of accidents overall. Then came the time of the double side view mirror. These were considered a lot safer than having just one, because people now seen i their blind spots on the passenger side of the vehicle. But there is another type of mirror that is used on some types of cars. Police cars, some commercial vans and trucks and Ambulances, among other larger vehicles, started mounting safety mirrors on their vehicles. A Safety Mirror is the mirror that sticks out a little, and angled strangely-or so it looks- so the driver can see his blind spots better. Some of these safety mirrors work so well that you could even see behind the vehicle using two mirrors in conjunction with each other-one reflects to the other then into the regular mirror. Safety mirrors are also used in parking lots of stores, in conjunction with a security system in use. When a security systems has the option of adding a mirror to it, it makes it a better system overall. Also, when used inside a store, it can help deter would be thieves from stealing. When they see the mirror in place, they think someone is watching and most do not want to take the chance of getting caught. The mirrors are also used in many other places like schools, homes, churches and more. They offer a greater protection for hospitals too. This is because when the mirrors are placed at the ceiling point of a corner of a hallway, people who are about to come around a corner can see what's coming before they make he turn. The mirrors enable them to see around the corner to make sure no one is about to come through on a stretcher, as they often do in a hospital. The mirrors used in a hospital essentially prevent someone getting run over, so to speak. So the next time you are looking for a neat and tidy way to protect your home or business, check out the safety mirrors. They can offer better safety and security when used properly and i conjunction with other security methods. |
