Replacement Side View Mirror
Common Sense & Replacement Side View Mirrors
When a person drives a vehicle these days, they almost always have a side view mirror on either side. It was made into law in the late 1990's that a second side view mirror be placed on the passenger side of a vehicle because of safety reasons. It was shown that a person driving a vehicle with the second mirror got into many less accidents per lifetime then a vehicle without. That said, it makes it easier to have that side view mirror damaged-or at least one of them. In any situation, when there is more to protect, there is more that cab be damaged at the same time. This is why it is essential to have a Replacement Side View Mirror on hand at all times, for both sides of the vehicle. This way, were anything to happen that you needed one, you could have it on hand for an emergency, as it only takes about an hour to change one-with the right tools of course. When you do use or purchase a replacement side mirror, your best bet is to get one that matches as closely as possible to the original color of the vehicle. This way, if you do get into an accident, or need to replace the mirror for any reason, when you finish replacing it, it will still look good. This is essential if you ever think of selling the vehicle, because if the colors of the mirror and the body of the vehicle do not match perfectly, then it could possibly garner a lower sale price overall. Just having to replace the mirror int the first place could lower the price as well because most people do not want to buy vehicles that they know have been in any accidents. There is no way to tell if something will go wrong after they purchase the vehicle, so they want to pay a cheaper price for it. There is always the option of having someone put the mirror on for you. There are places that employ what is called "auto body" repair people, or even a mechanic will do the job no problem. That is of course if you don't mind not having possession of the vehicle for a few days and then possible paying an arm and a leg for the labor and any materials they might have to use to fix the mirror, or paint they might need to make it a seamless match.
